One day he gets a big surprise when his owner comes home with a new dog, Zorro!? At first, they aren't very happy to see each other!? Will these two canine companions figure out a way to get along?

???? Author and illustrator Carter Goodrich has given families a delightful story here.? The text is fun and engaging.? The pictures are well done and lovingly drawn.? My kids and I particularly loved the facial expressions as the two dogs met and got to know one another!? We have two dogs ourselves, so this story was perfect for us to enjoy as a family. ?Even my teenager chuckled at some of the illustrations, particularly when Mr. Bud tried to rush out the door for a walk, dragging his owner behind him!

???? This is one of the best children's books I've seen.? (As a mother of five, I have seen many books geared towards kids, believe me.)? The kids and I have read it at least four times in the week since we received a copy.? Even if you don't own a dog, most kids love stories about animals. Parents may smile at the similar ways that dogs and kids carefully guard their own territory in a shared home!? I actually think this would not only be a great gift for a child, or a family with one or more dogs, but that it would also be a great idea for a quick read in a veterinarian's office.? I could easily picture clients flipping through it if it was left out on a table top.? Adults and kids alike will love it!
